I became a counsellor because I have always been interested in people and their stories, why we react and respond in certain ways to the good parts of life, the bad parts, the constant change and why do some people appear to thrive and some thrive not so much, why is everyone’s approach to life completely different to the next?
I work with people who are trying to make sense of it all and are at various stages of that spectrum when things feel completely impossible or hopeless up to when things seem to be a bit clearer and the curiosity that lies in the in between, where you may not even know what is going on, but you just feel something aint right.
I work in a relaxed, casual, curious way, I like to think my approach to counselling is to make it feel as “normal” as possible, not matter how heavy the subject matter maybe.
I am a person centred counsellor based in Hertfordshire & Hackney, I am BACP registered, and my professional background consists of over a decade working within substance misuse, crisis mental health support, grief & bereavement, homelessness & neurodiversity fields.
If this approach sounds like it could benefit you and support you with whatever has gotten you to the point where you are looking for a counsellor, please contact me if you wish, where we can arrange a free 15 – 20 minute chat online or on the phone to answer any questions and explore what has got you to this point and options going forward.
